Opening the Control UI
Your dedicated chat-and-management UI lives at your own subdomain — separate from Beach.
What this is
Beach hosts your agent. OpenClaw IS your agent — and the Control UI is OpenClaw's interface for talking to and configuring it. Beach has no built-in chat: you'll do all of your conversing, memory editing, and skill management inside the Control UI, which lives at a subdomain unique to you.
How to open it
- Sign in to your Beach dashboard at app.beachhost.io.
- Once your instance is provisioned and running, click Open Control UI.
- A new tab opens at your private subdomain — something like
sd-abc12345.beachhost.io. This URL is yours alone. - Bookmark it. Most users come back to the Control UI far more often than to Beach itself, and the bookmark saves you a hop through the dashboard each time.
What lives where
The split is worth memorizing — it tells you which tab to open when you need to do something.
| Control UI (your subdomain) | Beach dashboard (app.beachhost.io) | |---|---| | Chat with your agent | Account, login, password | | Browse and resume past sessions | Subscription and billing | | View and edit memory | Start, stop, restart your instance | | Browse and install skills | Connect channels (Telegram, etc.) | | Agent settings (model, prompt-style config) | Provider API keys (Anthropic, OpenAI, etc.) | | Backups and restore |
If you ever find yourself looking for chat in Beach, or for billing in the Control UI, you're in the wrong tab.
Works on your phone
Once setup is done in Beach (which is desktop-only for now), the Control UI itself is just a web page — bookmark it on your phone and you can chat on the go. You only need Beach itself when you want to change something about your account or instance.
