FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Beach and OpenClaw hosting.

What is Beach?

Beach is a managed hosting platform for OpenClaw — the open-source personal AI agent. We handle the infrastructure so you can focus on using your agent.

What is OpenClaw?

OpenClaw is an open-source platform that lets you run a personal AI assistant connected to your messaging channels. It supports Telegram, Discord, WhatsApp, Slack, and more.

Do I need technical knowledge?

No. Beach handles all the server setup, Docker configuration, and networking. You just sign up, paste your API key, and connect a channel.

Where does my data live?

Your data lives on a dedicated server in AWS (us-east-1). Each user gets their own isolated VM — there's no shared tenancy. Your config, sessions, memory, and credentials are stored on encrypted storage.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can create backups at any time from your dashboard. Backups include your full OpenClaw state — config, sessions, memory, skills, and credentials.

What happens if I cancel?

Your instance will be stopped and you'll have 30 days to export your data before it's deleted. You can restart your subscription at any time during that window.

How much does it cost?

Beach starts at $34/month for the Starter plan, which includes a dedicated 2 vCPU / 4 GB server with 20 GB SSD storage. There's a 7-day free trial with no credit card required.
